Meetings & Incentives Campus Week
David Michael Productions approached Origin Development about providing virtual reality and augmented reality experiences for the Meetings and Incentives Worldwide Campus Week event. This event hosts meeting planners and trade show coordinators from around the globe with the goal of educating them on the options available for incentive travel and location based corporate meetings. As part of the event, a trade show takes place where vendors present their venues, event service capabilities, and technology offerings.
Origin Development participated in the trade show event in three ways.
- We worked directly with M&I WorldWide to host an eXpoReality passport game at the trade show, which successfully drew traffic to the booths of platinum sponsors of the event.
- Our team developed and presented a custom virtual reality mobile application using the OriginXReality platform. This application placed visitors into a virtual reality office lobby, where they had the option to navigate to three areas for VR experiences. The first allowed visitors to navigate and view different 360º photographs of meeting spaces. The second allowed them to watch a 360º time lapse video of the set being built for the very M&I Worldwide event that they were attending. The third placed visitors into an interactive 3D model of the meeting space, and allowed users to move around the space and interact with stage elements, playing a video, placing furniture, and turning set and stage lights on and off.
- Origin Development & IT hosted a booth space where visitors could try an Oculus Rift VR headset.
